The California-grown bean uses authentic Tarbais seed stock but does not carry IGP Haricot Tarbais designation, which requires French geographic origin. Rancho Gordo's labelling accurately states 'West Coast-grown from classic French Tarbais seed stock.' The French IGP distinction is a meaningful one and is not obscured.
